Applicants must be returning to school full-time in September 2020 at SAIT to be eligible for the scholarship.

 Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with maintenance, repairs and or modifications on aircraft as assigned to them under the supervision by a technician or crew chief.
  • Assist in the completion of regulatory required company paperwork, ensuring accuracy of all issued documents.
  • Assist in providing regular job status updates and report all defects and work stoppages to Crew Chief and/or delegate.
  • Receive, store, and issue hand tools, machine tools, dies, materials, and equipment.
  • Issue tools and equipment to workers and maintains records of tools and equipment issued and returned, manually or using computer.
  • Assist with tool counter to locate lost or misplaced tools and equipment.
  • Prepare periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.
  • Receive, unpack, and store incoming tools and equipment, and requisition stock to replenish inventory.
  • Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer, and report damage or wear to manager.
  • Repair, service, and lubricate tools and equipment, using hand tools, spray gun, or pressurized spray can.
  • May mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited Aircraft Maintenance Engineer diploma program and have completed their first academic year. Must be in good academic standing.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Team player and good communication skills.
