Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparing invoices in accordance with sales agreements and entering invoices into accounting software.
  • Perform detailed review of projects, Work in process reports ensuring that all relevant costs have been treated appropriately .
  • Aid in the financial reporting process by performing period close activities as well as assigned financial accounting duties including but not limited to: Accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, cost analysis, invoice approvals, provision of consolidation reports etc.
  • Participating in the collections process to ensure provision of statements of accounts, proper follow-up inquiries, and referral of accounts to collection agencies.
  • Meets accounts receivable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
  • Maintains financial security by adhering to internal accounting controls.
  • Provides Operations and Finance teams with timely revenue, billing, and accounts receivable analysis and reporting.
  • Provide support for external and internal auditors during the quarterly and annual audits of revenue data and controls.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Maintains the Accounting Department working papers and period-end binders.
  • Researches, develops and implements special projects, as assigned.
  • Assisting in the Treasury team as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Communication skills for responding to concerns from customers and other stakeholders, must be able to communicate clearly over the phone with customers, excellent phone etiquette is required.
  • Strong project management skills to ensure all obligations and deadlines are met.
  • Flexibility and change management skills combined with a can-do attitude Excellent attention to detail and documentary skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in an ever-changing environment.
  • Work well in a team environment and within a team, leadership qualities are important.
  • Legally eligible to travel internationally when required.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of billing programs and accounting principles.
  • An understanding of financial controls.
  • Ability to work with industry software (Quantum Control Software), Navision and previous Accounting or ERP software.
  • Shows integrity, professionalism, ingenuity and assertiveness in the performance of tasks.


  • An undergraduate degree, preferably in commerce with a specialization in accounting or finance and a minimum of 3 years of related business experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience in collections and managing receivables required.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada and to travel internationally.
  • Professional designation an asset.
  • Aviation industry knowledge an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
