Reporting

The Aircraft Field Service Representative reports directly to the Engineering Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Support

  • Work directly with internal and external customers to provide technical support and solutions to issues that arise from working with STCs and other engineering technical documentation.
  • Liaise with other members of the Engineering team to develop solutions to customer issues that require changes to the technical documentation.
  • Generate and/or revise technical documentation as required to address issues.

Coordination

  • Document and coordinate engineering change requests and additional work requests from clients.
  • Ensure all design and administrative paperwork related to changes are maintained in accordance with the company Design Approval Procedures Manual and Engineering Procedure Manuals.
  • Liaise with suppliers and vendors as required.

Other Duties

  • Assist with design and certification work as workload allows.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Engineering and/or Engineering Project Manager(s).

Qualifications

  • AME "E"-License preferred, "M" and "S" ratings will also be considered.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English (both written and verbal). Additional languages will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems required.
  • Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD, Solidworks experience an asset.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally when necessary.
  • Must have a valid driver's license as site visits are involved.
  • Knowledge of aircraft certification procedures an asset.
  • Familiarity with Transport Canada, FAA and EASA aircraft design standards an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of aircraft modification and maintenance experience.
  • 1 year of related design experience preferred.
  • 1 year of related customer service experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated capability and competency in field of expertise.
  • Demonstrated capability in MS Office and AutoCAD software.
